guys do you think its okay for a women to propose to a guy?

The woman should "hint" about wanting to get married then let him do the asking. That way she knows it is not only her and he wasn't cornered into marrying her. you don't want it to come back to you saying I really didn't want to marry you but I didn't know how to say no. Women are better at saying no than men.

I am not a guy...but if I had not proposed to my husband, I would still be waiting! He says the same thing...he was too afraid and was so grateful when I said to him (we had been talking about marriage for 7 hours..it was then wee hours of the morning and I had to be to work in 5 short hours and still had a 30 minute drive home...so I blurted this out) "Are we going to get married or what? I have to be to work soon." He laughed and said yes we should get married! I said great, kissed him goodbye and left. About half way home it hit me that I just got engaged :) He gave me the ring (which he already had) a couple days later. We have been married 23 years now.

Sorry, I think the guy should do the asking. If its old fashioned, then it's old fashioned. But, the man should be asking for the woman.

Keep it traditional!! you'll always will resent him for it when you guys get into an argument, he'll probably throw it in your face how you forced him to get married. but the choice is YOURS! good luck
