It will not support the weight...and if it does, it wont for long.
Go buy a sturdy 75 gallon tank stand or a solid piece of furniture capable of withstanding such weight.

One assumes the stand came with the tank from a store, you could always return it and say its not fit for use as it won't take the weight of the tank according to the blurb and have them supply one that will. But some how I'd assume that has been taken into account, everyone is working out 55 gallons + gravel + rocks etc and giving you a figure, of course you have to realise that the gravel and rocks will cause displacement and there is not going to be 55 gallons of water, so one surmises the manufacturer of the tank and stand have decided to put a disclaimer on the stand against anyone using anything other than there tank. get out of jail card sort of.

Bad idea, not enough support. A 75 full of water weighs around 700 pounds and the tank MUST be properly supported.
