Additional info:
I do my 'serious' gaming on my PC...
'Serious' = World of Warcraft, Bioshock, Half-life, Guild Wars etc...
I want a console koz' my PC is costing me too much to keep current/up-to-date...
I am somewhat sceptical of the Wii's motion control. I admit that it is intruiging and original, but does the novelty eventually wear off? I am afraid of wasting my money on a gimmick...
I have played Xbox but not a Wii...

I believe you should get a 360. It seems to have more of your type of games. In my opinion, the Wii is more of party system. It's more fun when you play it with friends at the house. But just by yourself, not nearl as fun.

I can affirm that the Wii loses it's original novelty quickly. I received both for Christmas, and the Xbox sees daily usage, while I probably haven't played the Wii in months. The Xbox has the Wii beat on game selection, graphics, online interface, and overall fun. Based on your PC games, I would STRONGLY recommend the Xbox. The Wii is definitely not suited for you, there are no good shooters on it, while the Xbox has countless great shooters. So please, get a Xbox.

... i like the wii... I hate the xbox 360... But you would like it. It has your type of gaming style... Buy it. Buy both infact :)
