Henna is used and known throughout the middle east.
Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Africa, Morocco,Egypt and other areas have used it for centuries.
Cleopatra used henna .
It is widely used in celebrations and to mark passages of life, birth , weddings, etc.

Yes they would use Henna in Afghanistan. It is of Egyptian origin (we know for certain they used it) - though it more than likely originated in the Levant (fertile Crescent) area, modern day Iraq/Iran/Syria areas.
It has been used for centuries as a temporary marking, and as make up by women. The eqyptians also used it as a hair dye.

Afghanistan is not middle eastern, it's in South Asia with India. I was in the marine, yes Afghans use it and on their hair too, on the hair, it dyes the hair red

its more from the indian subcontinent meaning india,pakistan,nepal,bangladesh,sri lanka than the middle east although due to trade, they've used it for centuries aswell, especially in the arabian gulf meaning UAE,Saudi,Oman,Qatar,Kuwait,Bahrain e.t.c lebanese hardly use it and its a little more common in egypt and sudan!
