You could try witchvox.com. There are a couple of essays there that explain JUST Traditional Witchcraft, NOT Wicca, which is something that's really hard to find. (By the way, I know what you're talking about. You usually find people who think Wicca is the only way, but it's far from it). There are many differences between Traditional Witchcraft and Wicca. Here are some good sites:

Hi Sweetie,
I am a witch, I have been practicing my entire life and believe me that's been a long long time. I practice the ways of the old, the very old...I believe in god and the goddess myself and work with both.
My belief on the subject of witchcraft is that to each witch it is different, it is their own personal beliefs that make it powerful and sacred to them. I never got the Wicca and "new age" thing. It seems to me just a lot of rules to confined the beliefs and practices of the witch...I feel that you should believe what you want and practice how you feel is right to you. Don't let others tell you what is right and what is wrong. Everyone should practice as they feel is appropriate to their own beliefs.

I have to echo the others "Traditional Witchcraft"? What tradition are you referring to?
I have been a Pict (sort of Hedge Witch) for over 40 years. The deities you choose to believe in is your decision. Mine have no names, I just refer to them as TPTB. Many witches need a visual image and a name, I guess I am beyond that need. Most (if not all) witches also revere a female & male diety. Your beliefs are your own and how you practice is however you choose. I don't know any witches who follow any sets of rules. Other than the standard Rede & law of 3, but that is a given.

I would ask: whose tradition? Each pre-Christian culture had its clergy, of sorts. Greek, Babylonian, Phoenician, Celtic, etc. Each is different, but alike in that they are all polytheistic, and therefore in error. There can be only one Creator, one Power that existed before time and space and that will exist after all else passes away. The Alpha and Omega is the One, God Almighty, by whom all earthly powers worshiped by witches were created. That is My God.
