How can we reduce the threat of terrorist attacks on America to something like Sweden's or Mexico's?

What if we made our foreign policy more like Sweden's or Mexico's? Wouldn't that pretty much do the trick?

I don't think America is threatened because we have a large economy. Which leaves our military power. Which is my point.

I assure you, from the moment US leave the world the hell alone not only America will be safer than ever, also world peace will finally be achieved.

Following will be a good start for USA:
Stop plundering others natural sources,
imposing power,
bullying in general,
regional domination in meddle east for instance
and new foreign policy for that matter,
irrational protection or support of Israel,
speak up and stop looking the other way when Jews committing crimes on Palestinians BUT
awarding them with billions of dollars each month,.........

These are possible, but will US commit to those!!

Strict nonintervention policy, as Mexico had in long,
could be a way to stay out of trouble and not being target.
If only all Presidents had really believed in Free Trade.
Then you fight just pirates and Pirate Countries perhaps.
and are very appreciated by all freely trading nations too.

Sweden had strict neutrality after their superpower times.
Even Germany respected that in WW2, they posed some
demands though, like sharing telegraphy lines and ore rails,
as they also respected the neutraliy of Switzerland aka Cash.
(Militaries declared they'll defend no cities, only themselves)

Nonintervention and Abandonment of Imperial Attitude
is certainly the key to reducing terrorism to a minimum.
Regrettably we do not start at zero. Damage is done.
Friends been let down. It would take more than a whole
generation before the USA can be trusted again worldwide.

Now I know you and I rarely agree but I have never had the opinion that you are inept in any way. Surely you can understand that neither Sweden or Mexico are global powers either in the economic or military sense. How would it benefit a radical Muslim group to attack there? That is not to say that they are bad countries, dont get me wrong, I just dont see terrorism being advantageous in those countries.

A few suggestions to reduce risk of terrorism.
1. Quit committing acts of terrorism in other countries around the world.
2. Quit exploiting people in other countries.
3. Quit manipulating and destabilizing the economic and political systems of other countries.
4. Quit illegally invading other countries.
5. Quit illegally entering other countries to kidnap their citizens for arrest in the U.S. or for rendition and torture in third-party nations.
6. Quit disrespecting other peoples' countries and cultures.
7. Quit acting like an imperial power.
8. Start promoting economic, environmental, political, and social justice at home and abroad.

the best way to remove terrorist attacks on the US would be to remove our military from the foreign governments that we for whatever reason feel the need to police. we do not have the right to go into other contries and start minny wars or full scale wars as we see fit. secondly we should protect our boarders at home rather then sending our soldiers to other countries. secure our borders first.

We are hated because we support Israel. I will never sacrifice my support of Israel to cowtow to some Islamofascist's hate for me and my country. Not all Islamic people are terrorists, but most terrorists claim Islam. No way do we stop supporting Israel.
