Of course money is power in today's world.
Show me one politician whose bank balance is
something one can sneeze at.This is true not only of
India but the rest of the world too.Money is the prime mover and requisite for entry into the political arena.Once there the politician can
spout all platitudes, homilies and generally adopt
a patronising attitude.

Power is a function of money and Power GETS the money. Whoever HAS the money HAS the power ...and DEFINES the power, and distributes the power to whomever they will. We could say that there is only ONE PARTY in the US, that we are a ONE-PARTY STATE. That would be the MONEY party, the POWER party. It's neither democrat nor republican and it's definitely NOT independent. The so-called "political" parties we hear so much about these days on TV are simply spin-offs, diversions, digressions, multiple ways to divide and conquer people, to drive a wedge between groups of people with opposing ideas, to create tension, confrontation, doubt, confusion and debate. When the people get involved with these activities, it appears that "democracy" is at work, but that would be a fatal assumption, when, in fact, the ONE PARTY, the MONEY PARTY, the POWER PARTY, the CORPORATE INDUSTRIAL PARTY is pandetermined and is working all sides against each other, creating factions, divisions, opposition and struggle. Then, when it looks like failure, someone from the heart of this ONE PARTY STATE steps up to the plate with what looks like a solution. The people compromise, but the ONE PARTY STATE is the only winner. The people are the losers time and time again. And it's only going to get worse before it gets better.

Money has meant power since before we were even called America or the United States of America...and it's thriving like the fires in California today.

Well yes and no. Money can lead to power because those with it can do more things than poorer people. Its how people choose to use money that it can lead to power. On the flip side is the pope, he certainly doesn't have as much money as say J.K. Rowling, but he has more "power" than her.

Yes to a BIG extent, unless, unless you are exceptional in your identity. I remember Mahatma Gandhi as someone who did not have money but had the spirit to stand back, be respected and have un imaginable power.

But yes, money is a short-cut for immediate uncontrolled power

Yes you are. Think of all the powers in the world. They all have money. Those with no power don't have money. Even those who "appear" to be poor are in fact really rich. Look at civil leaders like Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. They are filty rich. They just pretend like they are one of us. Name one poor person with alot of power. Can you think of one?

Money is given to man to serve the world. Love to use the money for helping others is the power in this world. Because God blesses such people and He will give money to satisfy their desires.
