evolved, but we don't know what the first man looked like before evolving, except that he and God looked the same. That's all the Bible tells us, that God and the first man looked the same. Interesting thought. The first man may have looked like a worm, a grasshopper or a beetle for all we know from reading the Bible.

Or for all we know, the Bible is referring to something other than physical appearance when it says "... God created man in his image ..."
Perhaps that line actually means our spiritual essence is created in God's image. I doubt that God's a bipedal humanoid.

God doesn't look like one thing/person specifically. The bible doesn't say that God and the first man looked the same, it says that God created man in his image. The idea of it is that everyone, everything created by God (from humans to beetles) were created in God's image. Which is why the bible tells us that all things created by God are beautiful.

Perhaps you are looking at the bible on a physical level. That verse may just mean a higher meaning. Could it be that it means God made man in his imagination. Or it could mean likeness, but looking at the inside and not the out. We all have the likeness of God within us. That is the fragment of God we call his spirit. Without the spirit, we would not live. It is attached by a silver cord which if you look , the bible so states. When we die, the silver cord is cut. With his Love, be that image of God to the world you live in. Rev. TomCat

NO! GOD created Adam according to his (ie Adam's) image. This means that when GOD created Adam, Adam was a human male, 33 years old. Adam was not descended from apes, nor did GOD create Adam from a sperm that fertillized an ovum to form a zygote, etc.
GOD has no image BTW. GOD is unlike ANY of His creation. GOD is unique.

Only humans were made Body, Soul and Spirit
We were made to love the same things as God and so many of our personality traits are gifts from God because they ar like HIM. It's not about what we look like but so very much deeper.
