911 is also used in Canada, as an emergency number... same as in the U.S.

No. 911 is only for the US. For example 999 is the emergency number in England.

No, it's 000 in Oz. If you dial 911 though it diverts to 000.
If I had my way and someone in Australia dialed 911 I would divert them to the New York PD for help.
They are too stupid to be saved.
