He,he...Now were did that come from? Not the taking a dump thing, but the question itself? Lol
Well you deffinetly got answers that's for sure! What really amazes me, is all the responses. Sure, you try and get answers to a serious question, and there's never no one around, as to placing a question about $hit and everyone's interested.....Doesn't that get you thinking?
It does kind of make sense, emptying out waste, well I don't know I just think it's funny....It's just a bunch of crap! Now wait a minute, were did the crap thing come from? Hmmmm
Well, I'm just here.....Cause I wanted your attention..he,he............
I miss playing with you, I'll ask your mommy if you can come out and play........I promise to be good this time.

OK, this is called a euphemism. This is a way of dealing with a subject in an oblique manner, usually associated with something unpleasant Take death for example. We say he "passed away" instead of the simple and accurate term, "died". We say a dog is "put to sleep" when what we actually did was an act of murder. There are more ways to say a person died than for any other unpleasant thing in the English language. Literal meaning has nothing to do with the phrases used to describe what actually happened. Call it being "politically correct" instead of unpleasantly blunt. People are not stupid, only intellectually challenged. "Take a dump" is just another way to say we (______), well, you fill in the blank. No one knows exactly WHERE these sayings originate. There is NO way to trace back and find the origin. Someone uses a phrase one day and someone else hears it and passes it on, and if it is, as Martha Stewart says, a "good thing", it survives in the language.

well, the original saying was "taking the dump to its final resting place" but that got a bit old so people shortened it
