I have an Emachine with a Celeron D 3.2 ghz but its so slow I wanna either put a new processor or destroy this computer, its a Emachine, Desktop, W3502.

yeah that cpu is very slow. It has a high clock speed, but other factors are much more important in determining a CPU's speed, like cache, and efficiency. Check your motherboard's FSB to make sure what CPU is compatible. The intel core 2 duo is currently the best series of CPUs, so if your motherboard supports it, that is what I advise you to get.

I doubt a 3.2 ghz processor can be called slow...I think you need more memory. How much do you have right now? If you have 1 gb or more, then the problem might be that your computer has a virus or spyware, both of which can be removed with free programs. AVG for viruses, and Super Antispyware for spyware. Also, try doing Disk Cleanup, and Disk Defragmenter.

If it's slow try getting more RAM for the computer, that's what will help speed up your computers tasks and not the processor.

If it is slow in games, just add a dedicated graphics card. Also increase RAM to 1Gb.
