I am just curious about caffine. Where does it come from? A plant, a bean, chemicals or what? Is it man made, or just made by natural stuff? How is caffine made, and what is it made out of?

It's a natural compound found in dozens of different plants, in which it serves as a pesticide, killing insects that try to eat the plant. In humans, it's a stimulant, so it helps "wake the brain up". It can be easily made in a laboratory setting as well. Made up of Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen and Oxygen (C8H10N4O2).

Caffeine is 1 of over 500 ingredients in a cup of coffee.

A coffee bean is quite complicated.

Caffeine can be extracted from a coffee bean or it can be made synthetically in a laboratory.

Caffeine is often made synthetically in a laboratory to standardize it.

The caffeine in a cup of coffee can vary greatly depending on where the coffee bean comes from on planet earth and how hot the water used is to make the coffee.

Caffeine is also present in some teas.
