IT could possibly be a noble gas since it is so nonreactive. It is probably a nonmetal since it is in gaseous form and is a poor conductor. Metals are good conductors and metalloids are at least decent conductors

metals are good conductors of heat and electricity, so you can rule them out. Mettaloids are reasonable semi conductors, so rule them out as well.

Non metals are all that's left, and from your description of non reactive, one would assume that it is a noble gas.
