Sharks fan!!!! RIGHT HERE!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, the game tonight, they should have won in regualtion (goes to show how stats dont mean a thing, huh??)!! They got lazy and werent moving their feet!!! On the PK all they would do is sort of walk over to the player with the puck. They werent looking out for other players, or other plays that could go on, just the puck!!! Annoying!!! They played great in the 1st period, the 2nd period was ok, but not nearly as good as the 1st. The 3rd period was horrible. I believe both their goals were power play goals?? At least one was. what happened to their wonderful PK?? Dallas was owning them, but I KNOW the Sharks know how to play. I KNOW!!!!!! Ive seen it before this season and I KNOW it will come back. No fear for all the other sharks fans out there. your boys will be back!!!
Ok, so the talk about Wilson being let go(putting it kindly), I just think hes too nice to the players. I mean, even Joe (Thornton, but everyone should know who Joe is) said that he is the nicest coach he has ever had, meaning when Wilson is pissed, he doesnt throw fits and cuss all the players out. Mostly thats a good thing, but when they need a good slap in the face, when they need chairs to be theown around and water bottles to be kicked, its not going to be there. I think Wilson is a good coach, but another problem I have with him is that he keeps mixing the lines up. If he doesnt see one line going well right away, he changes them. He doesnt give them time to click, and they NEED time to click!!! Those are my problems with Wilson.
I dont think anything is really holding them back. I mean, look at all the young talent they have, the old talent too!!! Youngsters: Pavelski (decided to mention him first. lol), Vlasic, Mitchell and Setoguchi are playing amazing, and Carle. I can tell you right now that this team is going to be good for a very long time. Then they have veteren talent: JOE THORNTON who is amazing and plays his heart out every single game, Marleau who I think is getting him mojo back, Cheechoo who is lucky to have me mentioning him in the good talent at all, he needs something,Rivet is playing well on D, McLarren, and even though everyone hates him, JR. This team will be back and running for the cup any time now, dont you worry.
1st 3 game winning streak this season. I was so happy. Isnt that sad???? Won 3 games in a row and Im celebrating. Last season that was the normal...oh well, it will soon be normal again.
Thanks for asking a question about the Sharks!! I love them!!! Nice to see there are other fans out there.
GO SHARKS!!!!!!!!
Guy above me- But now that the Ducks are sucking, all they have to worry about are the wings, I seem to recall a 4-9 beating last season?? It was beautiful

They've played well their last 5 games, and it looks as if they will continue to do so. They finally got over that slump and know what they have to do to win a game. I was worried for Ron Wilson last week. If they lost the two games to the Coyotes, I can almost guarantee Wilson would have been gone. I like him, though, so I'm glad that didn't happen. Sometimes hockey becomes so business-like that people blame poor play on everything except the players themselves. Sometimes, there is nothing the coaching staff or front office can do, it's all on the players to step it up.

The Av's you answer that! you at the instant are not welcomed to Shark Territory

I think, (especially last season) they held themselves back. Especially in the Detroit series. Taking a 2-0 lead twice in the series, only to slack off and play defense the rest of the game, and give up the lead AND the game? Don't worry though, it's not IF the Sharks win the cup, it's WHEN.

yeah dude i agree completely. they have alot of talent but i think the thing thats holding them back is inconsistent play (especially at the goaltending and defensive aspects of the game) and also many times lazyness. they know how much skill they have and i think thats a bad thing because they rely on their skill too much and not enough on hard work and ugly hockey. if they'd use their talent and skill to their full potential i think they'd have 4 more wins right now. but i think they will wake up and rebound and contend for the western conference championship.

Sometimes teams just go into slumps, the start of this season could just be their slump. The team has too much great young talent and some good vets to be a mediocre team this season. they should finish no less than 6th in the west I would think.
p.s. Joe Thornton is my cuz.

setoguchi is the key to the sharks offensive woes, look at their record since he broke into the team. ron wilson is safe as long as the sharks make it to the second round this year, but it's my avs all the way!

I think it's the Ducks and Red Wings that have been holding them back the past 2 seasons.
