Equality of power is important in all 3 branches of government. The government was set up that way to prevent tyrrany through checks and balances. Right now the house and senate are too divided to be of any significance in accomplishing anything so they just cave in to Bush or just purposely neglect to take a stand because the presidential elections started too early and it has been detrimental to progress by our government.

The country is controlled by congress. Too bad the present leadership has no clue on how to get things done. They persist in submitting legislation sure to be vetoed. Ignoring the people and the needs of this country is only going to insure more turnover the next election. Reid and Pelosi should be thrown out along with Kennedy, Murtha, Kerry and Barney Franks. All those people do is feed off the people and get rich while the country goes down the tubes.

Not this year,

So far they have shown nothing but stupidity in their investigations and attempts to embarrass the white house.

Bush has attempted to work with them by telling them what type of guidelines he would accept and they act as though they cannot hear nor understand.

I would say that this year is the weakest our congress has ever been.
