Do you think the above sounds 'fake'? How does this come off to you?

Suddenly the bottom fell out of free agency. The money pool finally ran out. The only thing that Boras and A-Rod found out is that there is a limit to their greed.

Boras grossly miscalculated the market value of A-Rod to the point where no one is interested in him. I say.....GOOD!

As a result Boras has lost considerable clout. If (I wanna stay Rod) end up with the Yankees, Boras will be minus one client.

you know the way i feel about this is that it is for real one but i believe there is to many clubs who would rather see Miguel Cabrera the original target of trade talks for the Yankees. This is simply a cause of Mo probably jorge and bobby coming back. He realized the only change was the coach and a couple of pitchers retiring. I think this is real and the Yankees will accept him if he allows to take the 20 million dollar buyout out of his contract so this is more real than i have ever imagined it would ever come to be again.

Reports have been that the Yanks are about the only team that can actually afford ARod long term... The Angels could afford him, but he wouldn't be there long. After a few years, ownership would have to come out of pocket for him. The offer right now is around 28 mil a year for 10 years....

I am sure as long as he mutters "as long as they pay me the most" he means every word of it.

If he really wanted to be a Yankee, he could 'afford' to sign a 3 year, $15 million dollar deal. I think that would prove he really wanted to be a Yankee.

otherwise, he is just playing the Yankee management for fools and if they do sign him, they will look so pathetic.

The mighty Yankee franchise, buying a guy that could care less about their precious pinstripes.

Why does this surprise anyone. These prostitutes are all about the money. I have no respect for these players, bunch of whiny jocks being overpaid.

Anyway, Yankee sucks for getting rid of Joe Torre. It is not the manager. It is the princess that play the game.

Well, I guess teams weren't fighting over each other in an all out bidding war for A-Rod. So now he wants to be a Yankee? I don't buy it.

In spite of the bullsht that Scott Boras is whispering in his ear, A-rod finally realized that no other team in major league baseball can afford to pay him anything close to what his agent thinks he's worth. So he's running back to Georgie with his tail tucked between his legs...

i think its for real.. hes starting to realize that there aren't teams out there needing a third baseman or a shortstop that can afford him.. also besides every1 who despises the yankees who of course will disagree with this.. as far as major league teams the yankees have arguably the most history and most prestige, i think a-rod wants to retire a yankee jersey in the hall of fame

It sounds for real, it seems like A Rod is upset with his agent and is attempting to get a deal done on his own.

Its easy from the average person's point of view to say its only about the money. But think about it this way...would you choose to do the same exact job you do now for less money because you thought other people would think you are classy for it??
