I've had them often these last few months. And this week I
don't have to go in. She's calling me instead. It saves her
time as she's overbooked. She often has to work me in when
I have something flaring up again.
The call, I was told today is to fill me in on what's happening.
I am in the dark on some things and need a fill in for sure.
As I'm waiting for a test coming in Dec. that will put dye in my
heart veins to see the strength of them. Then the heart doctor
will determine how long my heart will last hopefully. That's alot
of anxiety to hold down until I get the final prognosis.

None this week, actually.. I did have one for Friday but I cancelled because the (embarrassed face on) piles have receeded. Never had them before but treated my self. To some cream by the way.
Since October 1st 2006 I have had a fall, 1 night in Hospital. A polyps up my nose. Pleurisy, 3 nights in hospital 'cos they thought I had a blood clot on my lung. A really bad painful hip which turned out to be a calcified lump which I have yet to get investigated, Oh! and I am awaiting an operation on my right eye for wrinkled nerves at the back of the eye.
Apart from that, I am fine! This has obviously generated many Doctors visits. But none this week, Hooray!

Just got home from one that was so good it led to a second one. First was my regular bi-annual visit and a new problem with my right eye led to an emergency consult at the eye clinic... Turned out to be a normal part of the aging process but could be the beginning of a detached retina so I get to go back next Wednesday. Aren't I lucky?

Grace I had a cataract removed from my right eye last year... Improved my handgun scores by about fifteen points. It's amazing how much better I can hit the target when I can actually see the sights.

I can actually group 50 shots within a four to five inch circle again at 25 yards.

Not since 1996 - December 26th exactly. Caught the "flu" that was going around that year and ended up in the emergency room. Last time I took a prescription too.

I am healthy as a horse. I don't go to the doctor unless I feel I need one.

Being in touch with my body, I know when something's not quite right.

Look, at 67 I'm not in denial. Something is going to smack me right in the face and knock me off my pegs someday. Meanwhile, I will enjoy my fully functional body by not worrying about it.

I come from a great genetic pool of healthy people with no dreaded diseases anywhere. In my family, we usually drop dead around 83-90.... No lingering....

Congestive heart failure gets us all.....both sides of the family.

I simply don't think about it - nor worry about it.

Don't have any doctor visits this week. I only see a doctor 2 times a year and I see my dentist 2 times a year for teeth cleaning! The other doctor
that I see is a eye doctor ro make sure I can still see. Other than that, I am on my regular tour schedule!!!!!!!!!!!

Lately I've had doctor's visits every week. Today I had an MRI on my spine and neck which lasted nearly two hours. Last week it was to my spinal surgeon. The week before to my endocrinologist, the week before that, for the flu shot....the old body spends a lot of time in the repair shop!

I have one this week (thank the Lord). I am going to a dietitian who is helping me pick the right foods to keep my cholesterol down so I don't have to take that horrible Rx drug to do it. Almost finished with doctors for the year, only two more to go to next month. Hot dog! And then it starts again in 2008.

None. I did see my Dr. last month for a check in and to renew prescriptions. Had routine lab work; check thyroid, etc. First visit in about 6 months. Don't go much.

Not this week, but the 26th - for my flu and pneumonia shot and follow up visit on bronchitis and to see how my stop smoking meds are working [ which I haven't started yet! lol] - just went last week for another problem.

I do, I am in a study group because I have uncontrolable high b/p. Believe it or not, my first check up to get into the group, my b/p was too high to be in it. Go figure.
