When I dance, I clap. I save the snapping for just listening to the music.

clap it's easier to do when your having fun dancing plus it goes with almost all the songs rather than snapping that has a less likely chance of going well

I usually snap my fingers when I really get into some good Motown music.
I don't think I've ever clapped my hands.

Once in college I went to a dance on campus... and I snapped my fingers so much during that night that I had a blister on my thumb... I kid you not... ever since then I've been a little more reserved on the dance floor.

I think neither is best when it comes to dancing!

i snap more since it requires both hands to come together in a certain way to clap whereas snapping can be done by any hand in any position.

the first thing you should learn to do is your splits. which means improving your flexibilty everyday. when you do homework, sit up with your legs spread as far as you can and so you will stretch and get more flexiblie. if you make the team, i highly suggest signing up for ballet class somewhere asap. you will learn most of that through ballet anyways as well as build up your muscle, balance, and strength. after you master your splits, buy some ankle weights. do toe touches in your ankle weights everyday till you can do a pretty good one with them on. then take them off, and you will flyy ! double pirouettes will take a lot of practice but if you try hard enough you will master them. make sure to whip your head around and spot yourself everytime you do one. while turning, have your arms out like they would be if you were holding a blown up volleyball. for grande jete, just make sure you have your toe touch and splits and that would come easier to do. the order to do these best may be splits first, then work on your kicks (the more flexible and practice, the higher) your toetouch next, double pirouettes and then grande jete. hope you make the team ! dancing is a lot of funnn!!
