I agree with you sometimes the errors are because spell check wasn't used. In some cases they just can't spell.

As a person who has dyslexia and who has tried to use the spell checker on Yahoo and fire fox and not found the answer on either of the spell checkers I would have to ask why the whole dictionary is not used in the spell check programs??????? I think that spelling is one of the most difficult things to learn because even if you're taught to read using phonics a lot of words are not spelled phonetically. People keep saying that not that many people have LD's that's not true! One in five children has an undiagnosed LD and I think that that maybe higher for adults over the age of 30 before they knew much about LD's. You're also not accounting for the fact that not everyone here is of English speaking background. There are people here from all over the world who answer questions on this site. Also as much as you would like to believe that the US has the best educational system it doesn't. In the industrial world it isn't even rated in the top 10. We have more so called dump high school than any other country. A place where at risk children are dumped until they either age out or drop out. So don't blame it on the people who are trying to express themselves talk to the people who run the school and put the spell check together.

America has terrible education, everyone knows this. We need to change the way people see education; you don't need money to ensure a good education, but you do need the will to learn. I think the internet and text messaging are contributing too, spelling isn't an requirement there, but unfortunately it affects their spelling and grammar when kids really need it in the real world.

That's what I'd like to know. Sometimes a person will misspell a word or two. But with a lot of people on here, it looks like they are attempting to write in English but it looks like a bad attempt at some kind of shorthand they've invented. It's truly disgusting that anybody would write that way and hit the "submit" button.

Pride in self can't be taught in our education system. Our education system is mediocre. Americans are lazy. The spell check button isn't sized at 40 points and no one can see it. You forgot to put an 's' after misspelling.

Today, kids are online a lot more, and that takes time away from things they might otherwise be doing, like reading. If you don't read, you don't see words, and if you don't see them, you don't know how to spell them. It has nothing to do with the educational system, and everything to do with what we have taught our children to do for leisure activities.

through fact of secular ethics, it particularly is made all to undemanding for the willfully ignorant and violently stupid superstitious to stay to tell the story via driving the coat tails of scientific and social progression. to substantial a proportion of humanity is permitted to stay to tell the story with out truthfully contributing to society as an entire. The penalty for stupidity and willful lack of awareness is way less terminal that in line with probability it would be.

Maybe their English is just plain bad, or they do SMS too much, or they are just too lazy to study and last, they are all of the above.
