When I push the green go button it prints a beautiful test page. However, when I send a job to the printer using my computer the green light blink lights it's going to print something but nothing comes out. What in the ham sandwhich is the problem???

Check the printer settings and make sure the HP is the default printer, check the cable from the computer to the printer or try another one, check the printer driver you might want to delete it and reinstall it again, this should help with the communication problem, good luck.

you need to install the printer driver.. the cd that came with the printer....
if you have not got the cd then goto the web link below and type in your printer name and download the drivers for it...
read the install instructions

Go to control panel, Printers, and set your printer as default.
