What gives women the courage to constantly hit men? Nothing. They are just egotistical to think they can get away with it. Women constantly strike men and apparently nobody here thinks twice about that.
If a man hits a woman it isn't always to be abusive. Sometimes it's self-defense. But when a woman hits a man it is seldom in self-defense. They hit him because "he deserved it". The only reason he would deserve it is if he hit her, then she would be striking back. Instead it's because she didn't like what he said. Right. When he hits her because he didn't like what she said it is rightfully called into question, so the same should apply to her. Hiding behind the fact that she is female in order to get away with hitting him is cowardice.
And a man who puts up with that type of abuse is more of a coward than if he struck back, as is a woman who puts up with being abused that way.

speaking as a man, i would never be able to hit a woman, no matter what the reason, thru experience and after broken windows, and doors, etc, I find it easier to take anger out on inanimate objects. You girls can be pretty stubborn at times, but i could never raise a hand no matter how infuriating you got. don't get me wrong, but you girls can sometimes not admit when yourwrong even if you know you are.
But its certainly not courage that would spur a man into hitting a woman, its more cowardice.
I have put up with a lot of sh*t in my life, but no matter how bad or hard it got. i have never hit the fairer sex.........
Come on, a wife/girlfriend, mother, barer of your children, friend, sister, neice etc, why would any man want to harm any of them. A man that can take this route should be shot thru the testicles with a harpoon gun.
my wife has laid into me several times and not once have i retaliated, i shout a bit and go for a walk for a couple of hours, calm down, think things thru, but at the end of the day was it really worth hurting some one?, i think not......

Rage, selfishness, impatience, arrogance, cruelty, disrespect, moral cowardice, ruthlessness.
Of course you were being ironic when you used the word courage. It can't possibly require any real courage to hit someone smaller, frailer than oneself, as all good bullies know. It does take a ridiculous level of self deception for a male to hit a woman and still call himself a man.

It's not "courage" unless you are referring to "sipp'n on some courage" such as alcohol. If anything it is a weakness and their own deep seeded problems that make them ABUSE women. No, it's not courage. Only a coward hits a woman.
What's even worse are the women that stay in that abusive relationship because of the mental beating they get from it as well.
Man + abuse on woman = weak/lame/unworthy

It's not courage, it cowardice. Or childishness.
Some "men" are really just silly little boys that never grew up.
True courage is treating people with respect, not violence (even when provoked).

It is the lack of courage that causes this to happen. I would say it stems from childhood, no one in their right mind would raise their hand to a woman.
