Boric acid is the exact same as "roach pruf" on the market and cheaper bought as boric acid..What some people dont do is follow the instructions on roach pruf, then deem it no good IT IS GREAT...Boric acid is not dangerous to pets or people, but when you use this stuff..do not pile it up in piles for when it becomes damp from air moisture it is like a big clump of sand and deems it ineffective..You sprinkle this stuff in your cabinets, around baseboards etc then take a old toothbrush and brush it into the cracks..do not leave piled up.. The roaches walk across this when applied properly and take it back to thier nests as well this way..when piled up they walk over it just as you would a compact hill of soil..not taking the residue with you..more is not necessarily better in this case.. spread into the cracks as mentioned ..do not leave piled up..or mix with wet ingredients..you do not need salt etc and all these other remedies as mentioned..just apply it properly...

The roaches actually seem to like it. They eat from it and they don't die immediately, instead they go back to their nests, where they deposit some of the chemical powder they happen to carry on their legs, and spread it all over their nest where their eggs are. When the eggs hatch, it's this killer "food" the offspring's first find, they eat from it, and that's it: they don't even have time alive to get out of their nest.
Boric acid doesn't repel cockroaches but it will kill them by jamming up their joints and desiccating them.
You should give it a week or two and then see if you notice a difference.
I hope this was helpful,Take Care!!! :)

Just go to the drug store for boric acid. You don't need anything that says roach bait. I'm surprised the college doesn't have some kind of pest control.

As everyone said, the secret is stop the water leaks, stop leaving the dishes unwashed, clean your kitchen every day, stop eating in every room in the house, try that square thing in the middle room to eat off of.....invite family to join you....actually talk(NICE) to each other.....don't leave dirty laundry in every room..have a general standard of order and cleanliness.
Left overs more than a day old.....take it to the curb can...don't part it next to the house....your inviting bugs and giving them a boost up....wash the can once a month and use good bags.
litter boxes need cleaned 3 times a day.....not when the cat can no longer get in to do his business....use boric acid...I found the best way is a multiple surge attack....canned spray to drive them out of every crack....bug bomb every room at the same time(make sure all pilot lights and auto lite systems are off)....lay towels at the door cracks and go see a long movie or go on a trip that will take at least 6 hours.....be prepared for a shock when you return...Most of all read the instructions.

It works!!!! I know from experience I tell ya, lol. Let me tell ya a story, lol. I had this " friend" that kept her car and home very nasty. She would leave food in her car often. The roaches got into the car from things being placed in it from the roach infested house ( I've seen roaches to crawl out of her purse!!!!). Well one day, we are riding in the car and stop to get some food to eat on the way home. * I forgot to mention that I am obsessively clean and although she and I used to argue all the time about the condition of her car, I had never seen a roach in it up until this point. Well we are riding...on the interstate and the roaches must have started to smell the food. It was like something off a horror movie i'm telling you!!!! They started coming from EVERYWHERE. From the vents to under the carpet from droppin into my head....ewwwwwwww, I am getting creeped out just by thinking about it!!! Anyway, I am hollerin and screamin, she gets off the interstate, I damn there hop out the car while its moving!!! While she sat on the steps of whatever building we were in front of, I walked to the drugstore and bought some Boric Acid. I had known for a long time that it killed roaches so it was the first thing i picked up. I got back to the car and sprinkled everything in it!!! I didn't care what it was. I went into the trunk, the vents, the inside, all in between the seats....EVERYWHERE I said, lol. We sat there on some steps for about an hour, after an hour had passed I went to check and there were dead roaches everywhere. So much so that we had to go to the carwash to use the vacuum to get them out. We then made it to my house, I Lysoled, Febreezed, Windexed, and everything in between to that car. It didn't last long......they were back within a month, it didn't matter much to me though.....I never stepped foot back in that car after that, lmao!!!!!!!

Boric Acid. They used to sell this as 'Roach Proof.' It works. We used it when I was a child. Everyone in my hometown had cockroaches. Yuck.

Boric acid is generally used for ants, they say the only things left after a nuclear explosion are roaches and scorpions. You need to find the source of the problem and take more aggressive measures, serious chemicals.

If you live in an apartment or shared wall building, you cannot deal with the problem yourself. The owners have to exterminate everyone. If you live in a single family home, call an exterminator and keep things clean. There is no easy fix.
