seriously? he pratically represents only the best players around
(A-rod, A-Jones, and Carlos Beltran, and Dice-K to name a few) and he pretty much sells his players to the highest bidder

hes a horrible agent, it shows especially now with the a-rod situation. now that a-rod is meeting teams without his agent, a deal might get done. hopefully his a$$ will get fired.

you shouldn't hate Scott Boras but the Jerry McGuire system, that's what I call it. Agents are rated by who they represent and the contracts they can secure, it's the same with any stockbroker, salesman, or lawyer. That's all sports agents are, lawyers who don't have to quote lawbooks. How many zeros on the end of the number? Did his clients win any awards?

The problem is that some athletes put so much faith in their agents and follow their agents thru brick walls: Boras- "I think you should opt-out" AROD - "ok, i'll opt-out".

If Boras said "Alex, i think you should stay in NY because they still have a chance to win a WS and you will be a part of it and you'll probably go down as a legend", ARod would have stayed.

the guy does his pastime properly. would be unable to place all the blame on him. he's advising his purchasers to hold out for greater funds. ALL brokers try this, not merely Boras. that's merely Boras is the main extreme profile of all of them. Do i admire him, no, i think of that's ridiculous that they signed Strasburg for that lots. in my view, there could be a league minimum & maximum for drafted gamers. while they attain the majors, they might get regardless of money a set is prepared to pay.

I will say this about Boras-he gets a lot of money for his clients.

Other than that I think that he is obsessed with power. Not money. In his mind, money is important, but power is the main thing. Boras thinks that he is the most important man in baseball. Everybody must bow to his wishes and treat him as a god.

That we are talking about him instead of the players, makes him think he is powerful. Someday, he will lose his super agent status and will slink back to gutter that he oozed from.

Hate Boras? I bet there are 30 general managers who would raise their hands to that question.

he's a master manipulator that's for sure, but if he was your agent, I am sure you would love him. He brings in the most money.

I believe it's Kenny Williams that says he refuses to negotiate with any of Boras's players, I wish more GMs would do that.

Then the star players COULDN'T afford to have him as their agent.

Boras should be put into a mental institution for at least 20 years. He should be forced to share a room with someone, that is carving something, that isn't there.

His job is to get his players as much money as possible and that's exactly what he does. If I was a professional athlete, I'd want him as my agent.

Last I checked, it wasnt his job to make you like him or even to preserve the game of baseball. It's his job to get top dollar for those that he represents and he does a great job at that. If teams dont like it, then they shouldnt pay the money that he's asking for.

Stop blaming Boras for being good at his job.
