I only think it's pretentious when someone is pretending to be different and work hard to achieve some sort of unique style. I think if someone really is indie, they don't even think of themselves in such a category--it's just whatever style they have is theirs and not part of a movement. What do you think?

People who insist on labels are pretentious. I like what I like and don't care what other people call it.

At first we had the "cliche" categories and the "unique" categories. Now we have the "cliche" categories, the "unique" categories, and the "cliche people trying to be unique therefore completely ruining the uniqueness of the unique category" category.

Indie emans the producers struggled with no $ from major studios...thus Indy=independent....
