10 is 20% of fifty.
80% of 20 is 16.
16% of 125 is the number 20.
20%of 240 is 48.

I do Number 1. by using this method 10/50*100=20%
I do number 2.by using this method 80/100*20=16
I do number 3.by using this method 16/100*125=20
I do number 4.by using this method
20%of a number is equal to 48 i call the unknown number x so 20% of x is equal to 48.x=48*20/100=240.

1. 20%

2. 16

3. 20

4. 240

OK

Q1.

first find 10%. You can do this by dividing the number by 10. This equals 5, then times this by 2 to get 20% which is 10.

Q2.

again find 10% by dividing by 10 which equals 2. Then times this by 8 to find 80% which equals 16.

Q3.

Best way to do this i think is to find 1%. To do this divide by 100 which equals 1.25 then times this by 16 to get 16% which is 20.

Q4.

To do this question times the number by 5 because you know what 20% is so times by 5 (20x5)=100 and you want to find 100%. 48 x 5 = 240.

It's always helpful to think of percents like money. If you had 5 dimes ($0.50), and moved one to the side ($0.10), you see it is 1/5. 1divided by 5 = .2. .2 times 100 equals 20%.
That might be confusing but you eventually should be able to translate percents into decimals and into fractions.
