Is the complexity or non-complexity of our feelings and emotions an apparent issue of the complexity or non-complexity of our cerebral orientation?

Well its both, but I do think that you can use, the non-complexity or the not, as a default and then go from there. You know what to do.

I suppose if one was predisposed to seeing things in fewer dimensions/ colors/ facets etc. Then his or her emotions would be similarly limited.

It's both. Both correlate of what makes a being as whole as it can be.
