You had so much emotional capital invested with him. When he turned out the be an a** you still have that emotional tie and it will take about the same amount of time you were together to put it behind you. You can take some time to decompress from the life you had and start over again. It really hurts when someone who has been very important becomes just the opposite of what you thought There are some good men out there you will figure things out with a little time.. E mail someone you know or trust and get some hurt out.

Are you felling bad because you miss HIM, or just miss having Somebody?? Maybe a little of both?
If you told him to take a hike just because you thought you were supposed to, but deep down you believed he was a good man who screwed up and the relationship was salvagable, then you need to contact him and reconcile.
If however, you did not feel you could ever trust him again, and/or he really wasn't the man you thought/hoped he was, then you have to move on.
When you are ready emotionally, you will heal from the pain, and come out stronger and ready for a real man to come into your life.

Join a club, do some volunteer work some thing, anything to make a few friends. but id rather be alone than with a god damn cheater!

Well you were with him for a year, you're still going to have some emotions lingering around.
It might have been different if you were together for a month or two, because you still don't really know each other at that point. At a year, you're pretty adjusted to each other. It's a big change.
Time will pass, you'll find someone new, who won't be a dumb-*** and cheat =)

You feel like crap because you had your heart broken. Try to pick up a hobby, which has two advantages...it gets your mind off of things, and also gives you an opportunity to meet new people!
And BTW....I wonder how many "best answer" votes that Tina Marie girl gets!! I bet not many....what a rude-***!

Because you opened yourself to someone, and they betrayed your trust. You feel hurt, and deservedly so. Be kind to yourself for a while... go to a spa... get a message... take yourself out to a movie/dinner... do something special for yourself.
But do not close yourself off to the world and other people. Someday, there will be that someone special whom you will open yourself to, and they will hold that trust as dearly, if not more dearly, than their own life. But for now, take time to heal.
BTW... I'm glad that you had the SELF-RESPECT to toss the bum out of your life!!! YOU GO!!!!
Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

He wasn't your friend, he wasn't your 'man' - and he obviously wasn't really there for you.
We only get as much as we're willing to settle for so if you don't believe that you're worth a loving, intimate, respectful, and trusting relationship - then you'll never have one.
One more affirmation for you - when one door closes, another one opens. So, don't feel bad about 'losing' someone you never had - feel good that you did what was necessary to take care of yourself.

It is so difficult to go through those lonely times, especially if he was your friend. It will take time, but you will heal. Just don't let anyone take advantage of you again like that. You deserve better from your relationships.
