I bought this game Star Wars The Best of PC and it says PC DVD-ROM and I dont know what that is so i just wasted 40 bucks (I only have CD-ROM).when I put it in my hard drive nothing came up. can anybody tell me what is DVD-ROM?

by the way is DVD-ROM a hard drive or is it parts that I have to put it on my CD-ROM computer?

Yes you have to replace that CD-ROM drive with DVD-ROM drive, it is very cheap if you know where to look and DVD drive surplants a mere CD drive.

I once encountered same situation in a guy, but he wanted to play Total War so he chose upgrade to DVD. A sensible thing to do I guess.

Yes you wasted 40 dollars. A CD ROM cannot read a DVD (Digital Video Disc) It is newer technology, however you can buy a DVD ROM for like $20 dollars, and I suggest you do unless you want to keep using programs and games that were made in the last decade.

DVD-ROM = Digital Video Disk - Read Only Memory.

Yes, you need a DVD reader to read DVD's on your PC, but theyre really cheap.
