It is a Swingline heavy duty tacker model #800. It has alot of sentimetal value to me. I need the pushrod that moves the stap[les into place for injection.

Hi,
Actually I just stopped in because I have an ancient staple gun/stapler that was likely made by Swinline when they first began.

I think,,,no I know,,,the first place I'd go would be direct to Swingline. If they no longer manufacture IT, they might at least have links to archived (New/Old Stock)

Beyond that you might go deeper direct to their archivists/ promotions people/ Promo people; for info.

Obviously you can post to forums all over the WWW, and perhaps get answers; but if it was mine; and had that VALUE; I'd go direct.

I would buy a new one and try the new part in the old unit and see if it works. I bet it does. If it does not return the one you bought and search other leads.
