The camel revolutionized the Islam world because it was a sturdy animal able to cross the great hot plains with minimal water between towns.

It only needed one great drink before it left a town to get to another.

It's ability to conserve water drastically improved trade to a region where trade was not firmly established because there were few animals or humans able to treck many miles through very hot areas with a minimal water supply.

What is the Islam world ? Trade route s were established through the arid lands of Asia. The camel adapted well to the conditions and became the " ship of the desert" . The animal was used to establish trade routes throughout North Africa as well. If you want answers you will take page length as it is presented.
