Okay, this is kinda confusing so if anyone has an idea please help me out here. I took the EPT HPT 4 days before my missed period, which was okay according to the box. But the weird thing is, is that when i took it in the morning and read it after like 5 minutes it was negative but then i got curious and pulled it out of the trash can late the same night and there was a very very faint positive line. what could this mean?

After 10 minutes the test results are not reliable. What you see later is the evaporation line and does not indicate a positive result. Try testing again a day or two AFTER you expect your period.

All the best!

It's called an evaporation line. Some pregnancy tests are more known for it than others. That's is why they say on the back of the box "do not read the test result window after 10 minutes" or it might say five minutes, or twenty minutes - depending on the test.

So unless you see a positive line in under 10 minutes, you are NOT pregnant - it is an evaporation line.

That would be an evaporation line. It does not mean it is positive. You are not suppose to read any results after the 10 minute mark.

It's evaporation lines. Any test after 10 minutes is invalid. You're either not pregnant or you took it too early. Try waiting until you've missed your period and then take another test.

It could be nothing. The result doesn't count after 5 to 10 minutes.

The test is invalid after 10 minutes. I suggest you go to your doctor and ask for a blood test to be done. This will tell you for sure. Good luck.

i'd wait until eventually you've neglected your era to attempt, and the +/- checks at the prompt are not advised anymore because they are so severe-rated for blunders. i'd get a digital attempt- they are the finest to study with a unique pregnant or no longer pregnant. Will you post and enable us understand when you're or no longer? good success!!

it could have been positive to begin with you may not have looked at it correctly, or maybe you looked at it too soon. my advice would be to wait a few more days and take it again. just to be sure. good luck!!!
