Not a WVU fan, but I suspect it has something to do with marring their sisters...

There are a lot of WVU fans that go to the bar I hang out at. I think that is why I root for them. I also like the way they run the football. Hey Riggo, most of the people I know in big ten country think WVU is a good team, they just don't have a lot of respect for the big east. I think that is slowly changing. You can't judge a team's fan base by these boards, or a few loud mouths IRL.

I'm a Georgia fan and I never really gave the Mountaineers much thought until the Sugar Bowl two years ago (WVU Fans remember that one, UGA fans wish we could forget.) Now I watch WVU whenever I can. I think the energy behind the team is what make it unique.

Been a WVU fan for a long time, lived there from 1971 until 2000.
Defending them among all of these Big Ten fans that think they play a superior brand of football for some irrational reason or another has made me a stronger fan.

i don't understand approximately that...only because of the fact we've had a perplexing 3 hundred and sixty 5 days does no longer mean that each and every of the blame is on Rodriguez. there have been situations that WVU performed AWESOMELY, and situations we performed like a junior severe college soccer group, yet i think of the mentality of the gamers had lots to do with it. i think of they tended to get the two cocky, or think of that they had the sport interior the bag, and the different group observed it, so as that they took it to their benefit.

Making a $5000 donation to the University in order to get my season tickets on the 45 yard line. Every t-shirt and jacket I own are blue and gold. I think I'm a "Mountaineer Maniac"

Sorry not a true WV fan, but wanted to say I love the team and the fans, they both show incredible energy when they are on top or having a bad year and that been some time now. I have a co-worker who is from WV and he is a big fan and I always keep him in touch about how they are doing as he doesnt have much time to follow them.
Good Luck and hope you guys get a higher rank as its a shame that the Big East still gets no respect with Louisville, WV, Cinncinati, SF, Rutgers and so on have been playing top notch football and deserve the respect. Good Luck Guys

I think the true fanatics have the urge to want to talk about their team all the time?
Good luck to the Moutaineers dude. They have been playing some exciting football for the past three years now. I like them.

Not a fan, but much respect to your QB, who's from Alabama. Can't wait until next year for Auburn to play West Virginia.

Not a true "fanatic" (a few too many years removed from that) but the fact that it's my alma mater doesn't hurt.
