WMAP, a probe that was sent out to measure various features of the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation did take special readings to determine if the universe was finite or infinite.

So far, all the data taken to see if the universe could be 'small' have come back negative. It would appear more and more probable that the universe is infinite (not yet totally proven, but every test to disprove it has failed).

They haven't proven if space is limited or unlimited.
We may never know.

Some cosmologists estimate that the "observable" universe is 46.5 billion light years across, but whether the "actual" universe is infinite or just larger than the observable is unknown.
Most people assume that the universe is infinite - from our perspective on Earth it's almost infinite so it's really more in the realm theoretical cosmology than everyday experience.

no.. space is an endless horizon. No ending nor limited. Its very very huge.
