If you've been to the doctor, and they told you that you are "18" weeks pregnant, then you are actually only "16" weeks pregnant. To get an estimate, they always go back the two weeks before when you started your last known period. HOpe this helps.

Well, I will be 18 weeks on Monday and I conceived about July 24th, or somewhere close to around there. The first day of my last menstrual period was July 15th, which would be where the 40 weeks starts. I conceived a little after week 1. Good luck!

Pregnancy starts on the first day of your last period. (Ya, your not pregnant yet.. ) If you have a 28 day cycle, then you ovulate on day 14. So you can count either 14 days after you the day you started your period, or you can count back 16 weeks.
