I want to dress like Sweeney Todd for this melodrama I'm performing (I'm a sinister character with mysterious and deadly intentions) and I wanted a really cool costume.

I need to know-
Hair (technique and color)
Makeup (exagerated)
Clothes (of course)
And possibly some help on an accent or mannerism?

Keep the costume simple please, but tell me what must be done to achieve the look.

Thanks!

A society I know/work with has already performed this, so i will relate to the costumes we used for ideas for your production..

*Think Victorian- formal long waistcoats (stick to mucky brown or grey/dark colours to add to the scene and grime of the city and situation) and tophats.
Not necessarily smart but more grimy, lower grass, scraping for a living. Also adds to the character.

*Sweeney in the particular production i am referring to often wore white overalls for his barber outift, or often mostly in white- shows the blood up wicked!! Dont forget a black bow or stripes somewhere, something to conceal what is happening so hes offering a "service".

*Hair- swept over, slick, suave. Down!!

*Accent- can switch between orderly victorian gentlemen (to lull customers in), to that of a brute.

Hope it helps.. try searching google images my only other suggestion. Good luck!
