I've never been a fan of country music, but I can listen to Johnny Cash for a bit and I do remember listening to Ferlin Husky (sp?) ... on the wings of a dove. If I am absolutely forced to listen to country music, I prefer the old style country.

I actually have never been a great country singer fan. As in Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash. But I do like John Denver, and had a lot of his music. did not know he was really classified as a country and western singer.

I like Alan Jackson singing just about all his songs but "Gone Country " got me stared with the new country music. I use to rock my grandaughter to sleep when she was a baby to that.
My latest favourite is Johnny Reid singing "Darlin".
Lorretta Lynne , Dolly Parton and Reba are my favourite female singers.

Sorry but I really don't like country music, but I like James Taylor, and the Eagles if they count. Also I like the albums of cover versions that Johnny Cash did not long before he died, especially "Hurt" which was originally recorded by Nine Inch Nails who are a favourite of mine.
