I've got a strange problem here. I recently added a peacock eel into my tank which was bare. And just yesterday, my mom bought 3 carps and intend to evict my eel. They look rather large and i fear they may hurt the eel or eat up all the food before he has a chance.

So i've planned to kill her 3 carps, but it has to look like an accident. Any suggestions? Poisoning the water is out of the question (my eel is in there!)

I have several answers, one is that tell your mom to take away the fish because you are scared for your eel. Ask her to sell the fish or just put it in a seperate tank. (more inhumane) Take the fish out of water and put them in a seperate bowl from the eel, then put poisining in the bowl. Then make little bite marks on it to show (if you have a pet) that it tried eating it, but it just didn't like the taste. Another is( even more humane) take it out of water and let it dry up. Then put it on the little part where it sucks in the water. Say that it got stuck in the thing and it died. (most humane but would probobly get your eel sent out of the house) Cut the caps head off and say that the eel at it because the Caps were bothering it. Those are all the eveil schemes I can think of. One more thing, I think you better ask your mom to put them into a bowl, it would keep you and your eel out of a whole lot of trouble. If you need more help then just e-mail me at josiah777j7@yahoo.com.

How large is your tank? Regardless of the "intent" of the carp, they are very likely to harm your eel from the amount of wastes they produce. Carp, or in their "fancy" coloration called koi, can get 2-4 feet long and don't belong in any aquarium. They should only be kept in a large pond where at least 100 gallons is devoted to each fish.

While in any fight with your mom, you're likely to come out on the losing end (after all, she is your mother, and it sounds as though you live in her house). If you can, I'd see if you can buy (maybe even if it means asking for an advance on your allowance) another tank where you can keep your eel. Then let her keep the tank with the carp. If she insists on trying to keep them in an aquarium, even though they're small now, you'll eventually have your tank back, because the carp will die from producing increasingly more ammonia as they grow, or she'll have to buy a larger tank for "her" fish (or construct an outdoor pond).

I'm assuming this isn't a joke, and that you're being absolutely serious with the question. My answer to that is to look up whether or not they even present a danger to the eel. If they do, you can either get a new tank or give the carps to a professional fish store or humane center. I mean no offense here, but if you don't want to or simply can't take the responsibility for something, then you shouldn't take it out on the object, especially if it's an animal. You wouldn't burn a doormat your mother gave you if it takes away from your house. Instead, you'd probably give it away or sell it. Do the same with the carps. After all, they're just as alive as your eel. If you kill them, it's 3 lives you're stopping without just cause. If you do what's better, and give them away, you're giving them a new lease on life. You'd have to explain the fact that they present a danger to your eel, and that you don't want that. She'll understand, and you'll prevent having to go through getting rid of fish again. Not only that, but there's a plus to not keeping them. You might find someone willing to buy them.

Hope this helps, and don't kill the fish.

politely tell your mother that it was your tank and that her fish could detract from your eel's living environment and that she should have thought about your eel's compatability with the fish she wanted.

it isn't the 3 carps fault. don't kill them. put them in their own tank or give them to a friend

just tell her to get a different tank and put her fishes in there and also tell her that goldfishes are coldwater fish and your eel is most likely a warm water fish and that if you put a goldfish in a tank with a heater in there, it will shorten the goldfish's lifespan. Also, decorate your tank because eels love to have some cover, I heard pottery or a pipe will do just that to give your eel some cover and hiding places, which it needs and does in the wild.

This is a ridiculous question that is taking up time and space of people who have legitimate problems and people that are willing to help them. You should be banned from Yahoo. If you want to pick the cartoon, kindergarten or joke category, you would fit in a lot better. Your question really didn't even deserve this answer, but I think I made myself known to not condone it. Hopefully enough will vote to have it thrown out. Be careful, as you may cry wolf one too many times.

Get a seperate aquarium, and why do you want to kill them give them away, there just fish she will get over it! Well to kill them you could take them out put them into a bag put them in the freezer and wait a few hours then put them back into the tank and say mom your fish are dead and floating!

honestly if i were you i would assassinate your mom. then you are free to do whatever you want to the fish. With that ol' ball and chain out of the way, you can subject the fish to a wide variety of tortures and eventually death. I hope this helps..
