Assuming your child is going to live most of his early years in the US and attend American schools, I'd go for Beau for a boy. Emile is *so* close to the super-popular Emily and Emma that it will give you trouble. Laurent's not bad. Rousseau is too much, in any language.

For a girl, I think you have more room to be creative. I think your best bets are Isabeau and Aimee. They sound quite close in French or English, and so you won't hear your daughter's name butchered time and again.

Congrats!

Ok, sorry to say but, the boy names look like girl names. I know this is generic, but my son's name is Piers, (can't do the accent on the e) and he is the cutest lil three year old I have ever seen. I like that name, and the girl name, Aurelle sounds beautiful, as well as Isabeau. Lol. Those are my suggestions.

I don't care for Aimee. The meanest person I have ever known spells her name that way. I would be afraid it would be cursed or something. No, really she is so cruel. Don't name a baby that name for sure.

for the boys I pick Beau becasue it is just the nicer, more easily pronounced name for him as he is growing up.

For the girls I absloutely love love love Aimee! Its on my list of girl names too! Second would be Naomi. But Aimee still wins hands down for me!

Best of luck and please call her Aimee if its a girl, lol!!

I like Aurelie and Oceane too. But remember your child will have the name for their whole lives. I suggest to go with something meaningful.
It's all your decision.Good Luck!
