The prior poster has no clue. A "star" bill is a replacement bill that has been put into circulation by the mint intentionally. To collectors these bills carry a premium value due to their rarity.

What country's dollar are you asking about? US dollar bills do NOT have a star at the end of the serial numbers. The numbers begin and end with a single letter and have and 8 digit number in between.
