If Notre Dame Fired Charlie Weis at midnight tonight, who would ND be looking at to replace him?

No one! People want to fire Charlie Weis, but have no suggestions for a replacement. He has the number 1 recruiting class in the country coming in next year. His first recruits are going to be upper classmen. Give him a chance to coach his "own" players. I know Willingham didn't get this chance, but don't use that as an excuse to fire Weis too. I'm not a ND fan. I absolutely hate the Patriots. But at the time, Weis was THE hottest coach to get. Everyone thought he was getting an NFL team and he went to ND. They aren't getting rid of him. Also, there aren't a couple of "MUST HAVE" coordinators out there that teams are drooling over to bring in as their head coach. So again, it is NOTHING like the Willingham situation.

I just understand why they got rid of their last coach, he was actually working on getting it in shape and Weis comes in with his players and wins games and gets big headed and now the majority are his and he is looking bad. I like Weis but he is not right for this team or any, he needs to stay behind the Head Coach and shine there.

Notre Dame will have lots of options, but who really wants to go there and get the crap that Weis has, but then again he has a good recruiting class which may change their mind if he gets dumped, the big thing is many said he would be the new head coach of the Giants, but the G men are looking pretty good and dont see them dumping Coughlin. So I think Charlie will ge tone more year, if not then Carr from Michigan may slip in there as I do believe he is toast. I think a Price of UTEP woul dbe a huge fit and help this team get back on track even though he had a shaddy past. Just cross your fingers and hope for the best if you are a Notre Dame fan.
