Is it ironic that most people who support little to no gun control and support the death penalty are also the same people who think that we should not legalize drugs?

I don't that's ironic. I think the fact that so many very dangerous pharmaceuticals are legal is the real irony.

Personally I am against gun control and for legalizing drugs.

well, no, not really.

people who support the death penalty think that criminals do not deserve the right to live, and should be executed.

drug abuse can lead to death, but isn't the same as intentional an death sentence. people use and abuse drugs to make money, etc, and people dont like or support that endangerment.

I'm not sure it's ironic or hypocritical. I think they're quite different issues with threads of overlap.

And to be sure, drugs themselves aren't illegal. It's behavior related to the drugs, however, that is often illegal.

Part of what keeps people from beating their addiction to drugs is that drug behavior is criminal. Criminalizing drugs deters some non-drug-users from ever really using, but it also deters some drug-users from ever really getting treatment.
