i have tatoo's on my head and look a bit scary so when i go out i sometimes wear a cap.

Club attire is left to the discretion of the doorman. Most clubs will not let you in with a ballcap. There are always exceptions, and it really depends on the rest of your attire. But, in a nutshell, ballcaps are not a good idea for most clubs in Vegas. The tattoos might actually work in your favor!

Highly unlikely. Most of the clubs have a strict dress code that's enforced. Their motto is dress to impress. Many of them frown upon jeans as well. (If you're worried about the ink offending, go to a place like Sephora and get some Dermablend. It's a putty-like concealer that covers ANYTHING. The salespeople there can help you get the right stuff.)

It's very gauche to wear a hat indoors.
And the baseball cap may give the Front-of-House staff more pause than a few tattoos, "Lone Gunmen" seem to have that as part of their their uniform.
