the newest theory is that space is finite, but doesnt end. its basically a 4 dimensional object. so you can walk forever and never really reach the end, only where you started. ill explain.
according to the big bang theory space was created at the moment of the big bang. so the expansion of space has to have a speed because nothing is instantaneous, thats impossible. so if space ends there has to be a boundry right? but that means theres just a point that you cant go any farther. theres obviously not just some big wall in space that doesnt let you go any farther. so basically the most logical answer is that there is a boundry to space but it just wraps around and you end up back where you started.
its like a mobius stripe, but instead of not ending in one direction it would be never ending in all of the.
and 99% of scientists dont think its infinite. with the big bang theory that idea died. i dont get why people think that its infinite still.
and once again the dude below me is wrong. the estimated size of the visible universe is 92-94 billion light years across. thats just the visible universe, there is probably more that we cant see because the early universe expanded faster than the speed of light, so some of it will always be out of view.
heres a link for more info so i dont have to keep proving people wrong.

There is no end, top, or bottom. Also, there is no edge. It's just endless.
More precisely, the universe is more or less the same in every direction, once you get to the scale of 100 million light-years or so. And this is true no matter where you are in the universe. That doesn't mean the universe is infinite, because you can see only 13.4 billion light-years away. Based on study of what we can see that far away, the universe goes on at least 3 times further than that, before it wraps around back on itself. And the numbers are getting bigger all the time.

The universe is a quantum entity so it must have a maximum and a minimum size.
At it's maximum size the density of space is such that any further reduction will put it out of existence.
As the universe expands and matter emerges the density of space continually becomes less.
The maximum size of the universe is likely about 6 billion light years in radius.
It could be much older but no bigger.

Space is roughly 14 Billion light years wide in all directions and expanding at the speed of light so technically at any given point in time it has an end. The real question is what is it expanding in to?

It might as well be endless, and it might as well be limited.
The universe is expanding. It's not clear to me if it's expanding into empty space or if it is expanding the available space as it goes. In either case I'm having a hard time imagining why it matters.

approximately 28 billion light year circumference, and expanding at a rate of 186,200 miles per second, in all directions. I think it was Einstein that said if you go far enough in time or space that you will come back to the beginning...so if it was possible to get ahead of the expansion...you MIGHT start over!

The universe is currently infinite though there are theories going about indicating that some observations indicate that it must be finite (something to do with echo's of some sort....)
