Yesterday I just transfered into this new class and the teacher was neoMarxist and he kept going on and on about his political viewpoints and we were discussing things in class. It started with something like the course outline and then it ended up where the teacher kept discussing a system of equality that he wishes was enforced in America. And I was talking to him after class and I said I agreed with what he was talking about and he told me he was glad and that he would give an "A" in the class. I was really excited, not the A mind you, but the fact that he was telling his students about the best economic system, so we can all start a revolution soon. I mean, it would benifit everyone in the long run because it would eliminate the current social injustice now. Do you think that if he enforces this to all his students that a communist revolution would take place soon? Do you think that it was okay to do this?

Ah -- an absurdly posed "question" from a level one troll.

Your ridiculous story is transparently false.

First of all I doubt your teacher is a Marxist and you are a bald faced liar. But on the ouside chance you are telling the truth you will need to report the teacher immediately. Call your school superintendant and inform them about that dirty Commie. All and I mean All of the teachers I have ever had or know have never used political views as a reason for giving a grade one way or another. Now I have seen some in college who have had students who make some sort of political statement and then don't back up their views. They are marked down not for the opinion but for lack of proof. Sometimes teachers will make an outrageous statement just to get people thinking and talking. If that is the case he is a good teacher.

Yes, either that or I was just naturally brilliant. It was the only social work class that I took and I could do no wrong. At the time, I was happy to get a perfect mark for doing what came naturally but as I get older, I don't think it was right. A teacher should grade based on the student's ability to rationalize and justify their position not on whether they agree with you or not.

No to the question, and no to the details. Teachers should let students decide what they think.
