NO. chicks love that stuff. anything guys think are corny are ahhhdorible in the girls eyes. so the guy should make it super romantic THEN get down on one knee. :)

NO!!!!! I would love that, it is so sweet! And even though my dad and I really don't get along, I like how guys used to go over to the father's house or call or something to ask her father's permission, but just cause he says no doesn't mean I would! If I didn't want my dad asked then I would want someone that I look up to as a father figure asked.

Yeah - I know, I'm not a girl... but my wife insisted on the knee thing. I proposed while sitting on the sofa with her, she smiled, shook her, and pointed at the floor.

i think the man should ask the parent then get at least a 5 month salarey ring then take her to her fav place and get down on one knee and say "will you marry me baby"
