Set up a cross multiplication problem

34.6 feathers over 6.9 sec equals
(1542chickens *3593 feathers each) over x

Note x is number of seconds but if you divide x by 3600 you have the number of hours.

34.6/6.9=(1542*3593)/x
So
34.6/6.9=5540406/x
By cross multiplying
34.6*x=6.9*5540406
34.6x=38228801.4
Dividing both sides by 34.6 yields
x=1104878.653 in seconds.

There are 60 seconds in a minute
and 60 minutes in an hour
So 60*60 would be 3600 seconds per hour.

So to get your answer in hours divide by 3600

1104878.653/3600 = aproximately
306.910737

Or about 307 hours.
