Ok, this is kinda confusing so if you have a question i will try to explain more. ( I dont know the answer)

At the first energy level there is -1312 Kj/mole,
2 energy level is -328 kj/mole
3rd is -145.8
4th is -82
5th is -52.5
6th is -36.4
7th is -26.8
8th is -20.5

(They are all negative numbers)

Now we are supposed to take these numbers and find the pattern. They have to do with the energy at each level. This is for my chemistry extra credit, so we are suppose to get help.

If you have any ideas or know the answer let me know.

Thanks

The energy is releted to the level number n in the following way:
E = -1312 /n^2 (Kj/mole)
where n^2 means n squared.
In fact, this is the energy level of hydrogen atomic electron orbitals associated with the principle quantum number n.
