IF YOU DON"T KNOW DON"T ANSWER! It makes you look really ignorant. Maybe you just need to actually read the question.
No witches were ever burned in the USA, the burning occurred across Europe.

Salem, Massachusetts, home of the 1692 Witch Trials, where innocent people were hanged on Gallows Hill.
The victims were hanged (NOT burned at the stake, as you may have heard-they only did that in Europe).
20 innocent people and two dogs were murdered for the alleged crime of "witchcraft".

This may be a trick question. Accused witches were hung in Salem, Mass, but they were never burned in the US.
