I enjoy using rubber stamps, old cards, decorating bags for Christmas wrap. Anyone else do anything creative for Christmas wrap. Thanx

I do! I use brown paper (like what you would ship packages in and what paper bags are made out of) and I decorate it with old fashioned Christmas cutouts from old cards, clip art, magazines, ect... I use white and clear glitter on the packages for "snow" and I tie them with brown juke cord and tie a bow out of it for the top - and then I decorate the bow with some holly leaves or jingle bells or something fun like that. I use rubber stamps and chalking for the gift tags - in other words, I have LOTS of fun! Lots of times, my family will very carefully unwrap their gifts and then re-wrap the box and save it for Christmas decorations! :)

Yes one year I used the newspaper, wrapped the adults in the newsprint and the children in the funny papers,I used ribbon and pinecone decorations and the left over Christmas cards from the year before as tags, just cut out the design on the face of the card and there you are.

Love your ideas. Colorful papers from news-paper "funnies". Pretty and interesting cloth fabrics. Fresh holly and evergreens on package for decoration after wrapping. Have fun.

Sometimes I make up fabric bags in Christmas prints telling the recipients to use them for wrapping gifts next year or for whatever they want. I did get one back they thought I meant I wanted it returned.

BTW Sandy you asked what a Kris Kringle is, it's just another way of saying what you called a grab bag. We get told to bring a Kris Kringle gift.

I like Sunday comics as wrapping paper. If you work somewhere that has entertaining boxes, those can be fun too. My friends get gifts in boxes with all kinds of radiation, DNA extraction, random bio stuff... They get good reactions.

Like DaniDane, I use brown paper and add special Christmas stickers. There are so many stickers to choose from now! It's tons of fun!
