A peroxide is a functional froup, and oxygen oxygen single bond and peroxides are just the group of molecules which have this, hydrogen peroxide is the simplest one, so basically yes and no.

Peroxide is a molecule with an extra oxygen atom..Hydrogen peroxide is a water molecule with an extra oxygen atom.
